Prismatism: The 12 Universal Archetypes
The Cosmology of The Prismatic Citadel (Including a Birth Path Calculator)
Astrology and Numerology produce the same 12 archetypes. Though in our contemporary society, both of these accurate and real systems are thought to be pseudosciences or somehow mystical trickery or crystal ball-wielding charlatanism, they are not that at all, but rather occult, or hidden, means of understanding the self in the cosmos.
It is not for everyone to understand these things, but that doesn’t make it any less observably true. Science is a method, defined as the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained. This is exactly what we do with numerology and astrology, we do not believe in astrology, we observe it. It is a lost science of understanding archetype and personality. Or, perhaps, only lost to the normal person, who has not been initiated. “Occult” has become a synonym for wicked, evil, or nefarious in our post-puritan world, but, The occult (from the Latin word occultus "clandestine, hidden, secret") is merely a term for hiding from the eye. The same root, occular, is used for anything pertaining to the eye.
For most of recorded history, astrology and numerology have been key parts of societal mythos, doctrine, civilization, and even economy. Astrology and Numerology only came to be forbidden because of modern Christianity. Without its dogmatic rhetoric, both Astrology and Numerology would be known as useful tools for having a cosmocratic view of the world, and of your fellow human beings. Hippocrates, for whom the Hippocratic oath that Physicians take is named, observed astrology. Galileo Galilei, renowned Astronomer, and important supporter of the heliocentric model of the solar system — the then-disputed fact that the Earth (and other planets) revolve around the Sun, was also an astrologer. Johannes Kepler, Mathematician and Astronomer discovered elliptical orbits of planets and the other laws of planetary motion. These laws of planetary motion would go on to be used by Isaac Newton to develop his own theory of gravity. Kepler was an avid follower of Astrology. Many Kings, CEOs, bankers, and even first ladies have known of astrology’s prescient power.

There are 12 Houses in Astrology, or areas of the sky that the Signs pass through, affecting different aspects of the zeitgeist of that time, or of the birth chart of an individual:
If, in your natal chart, there are planets in any of those houses, you have karma pertaining to the theme of that house. In other words, if your Sun is in the Eight House, you have karma pertaining to Sex, Death, and Rebirth that you will seek to fulfill in this lifetime, through your personality (The Sun). If your natal Moon (emotions) is in the 10th House of Public Standing and Recognition, you will seek to be known the world over for your feelings. And so on.
There are Nine astrological planets (you must forsake any contemporary scientific stance on whether Pluto is a planet, or any of that. You must also accept the method of antiquity of perceiving the Sun and Moon as planets. What’s in a name?)):
This is all Astrology 101. In an individual’s natal chart, the 9 Planets are in any of the 12 signs, coloring the character and shaping the destiny of the individual.
Now let us talk about Numerology.
The practice of Gematria, assigning numerical values to words and names and imputing those values with religious meaning, dates back to antiquity. An Assyrian inscription from the 8th century BC, commissioned by Sargon II declares "the king built the wall of Khorsabad 16,283 cubits long to correspond with the numerical value of his name."[5] Rabbinic literature used gematria to interpret passages in Hebrew religious texts.
The 6th-century BCE philosopher and mystic Pythagoras believed that numbers carried sacred codes and were divinely inspired and created. Pythagoras created the octave and scale by which all western music is understood.
Some alchemical theories were closely related to numerology. For example, Persian-Arab alchemist Jabir ibn Hayyan (died c. 806−816) framed his experiments in an elaborate numerology based on the names of substances in the Arabic language.[6]
Numerology is prominent in Sir Thomas Browne's 1658 literary Discourse The Garden of Cyrus. Throughout its pages, the author attempts to demonstrate that the number five and the related quincunx pattern can be found throughout the arts, in design, and in nature – particularly botany. Numbers form patterns and, it could be said, numbers are really just access points for patterns. The quincunx was originally a coin issued by the Roman Republic c. 211–200 BC, whose value was five twelfths (quinque and uncia) of an as, the Roman standard bronze coin. On the Roman quincunx coins, the value was sometimes indicated by a pattern of five dots or pellets. However, these dots were not always arranged in a quincunx pattern.
A quincunx is an aspect in astrology, or a distance from one sign to another, illustrating its harmony or disharmony with the other sign.
As you can see, the whole forms another pattern all together, a mathematical shape that could be said to be the pure, beyond-language version of the cosmic expression that informs all of our feeble identities and futile mortal efforts. Mathematics can show you that God or The Gods don’t speak English, or Farsi for that matter. They communicate in shapes and numerical relations.
Numerology and Astrology are really two siblings of the same family. As there are 12 zodiac signs, so there are 12 numerological archetypes; one through nine, and then the master numbers 11, 22, and 33.
You can calculate your own numerological birth path in the following way:
Calculate your Birth Month:
If you were born on a single digit month (like June, the 6th month) keep that number in your head, or write it down.
If you were born on a double digit month (like December, the 12 month) add the two numbers of the month together until it reduces to one number (1+2=3) and keep that number in your head or right it down.
Important to remember is that the number 11 is different from the number 2 (i.e. 1+1), the number 22 is different from the number 4 (i.e. 2+2), and the number 33 is different from the number 6 (i.e. 3+3).
Move on to your birth day.
if you were born on the 6th day of the month, keep that second number in your head, or write it down.
Use the same method of reducing numbers if you were born on a two digit day, i.e. if you were born the 16th, 1+6=7, and remember the 7.
Move on to your birth year.
Let’s say you were born in 1988. Add each number of your birth year together. (1+9+8+8=26). Remember this number, or write it down.
Now bring back your Birth Month, Day and Year:
(6) (7) (26) in our example.
Add these three numbers together.
(6+7+26=39) in our example.
If you ended up with a number between 1-9, or 11 or 22, that is your number.
If you calculated a double digit number, add those numbers together until you get a single digit number.
(3+9=12, 1+2=3) in our example we would reach 3 as our final number.
So our example would be a 3 life path.
(here is a simple calculator if this overwhelms you)
Each number is given an archetypal personality type.
1 THE ALPHA
Independent, Focused and Rebellious.
2 THE NURTURER
Ambitious, Supportive, Cooperative.
3 THE ARTIST
a natural entertainer with the ability to inspire through optimism
4 THE ARCHITECT
Justice-oriented, honest, and reliable
5 THE WILD CHILD
Curious, inquisitive, Adventurous and Restless
6 THE NURSE
Protector and humanitarian driven to compassionately help others and serve higher purposes
7 THE STUDENT
Compelled to unveil unknown answers and secrets in the hidden world
8 THE EXECUTIVE
The Visionary, driven toward success and seizing opportunities
9 THE HUMANITARIAN
With an eye for the bigger picture, you sacrifice for the greater good of humanity
11 KARMIC MASTER
Strong intuition and magnetic personality that draws others in to a higher level of consciousness
22 MASTER BUILDER
Unites several souls with one larger goal, like an architect
33 MASTER TEACHER
Full understanding, that which is acquired before communicating that understanding with others. Teaches spiritual lessons in this lifetime.
So you can see, with the Master Numbers, there are again TWELVE archetypes.
Each Number is associated with a Planet:
1 is The Sun
2 is The Moon
3 is Jupiter
4 is Uranus
5 is Mercury
6 is Venus
7 is Neptune
8 is Saturn
9 is Mars
Whereas the Master Numbers have an otherworldly, non-planetary consciousness. This is why in secret societies, such as Freemasonry, the Master Numbers are associated with higher understanding of forms beyond material existence, as is the case with 33:
There were Twelve Olympians on Mt. Olympus in Greco-Roman Mythocracy. This is an exact analogue to these 12 archetypes of numbers and of the zodiac. There are FOUR astrological elements; Earth, Fire, Air and Water. This is identical to the Tarot, which has Four Suits; Wands (Fire) Coins (Earth) Cups (Water) and Swords (Air)
These have been corrupted over years of manipulation into the four suits of a playing card deck:
But in its raw form the Tarot is intended to show parts of a souls journey.
The Tarot has 22 Major Arcana that are the fundamental energies manifested in a journey of a soul.
The groupings of 4, with three subgroups, forming overall twelves, can once again be seen in the Astrological decanates, which divide each sign of the twelve into three subgroups with distinct personality aspects.
12 signs, 12 houses, 12 numerological archetypes, 12 Gods in a Pantheon.
Always 12, because 12 energies inform matter, and always have. A million religions have sought to quantify and correlate the 12 energies, name them, and understand them. To understand them is to understand that no one religion has it all, nor any civilization has mastered it (though Rome was close, and Ancient Egypt closer). 12 is an enchanted number in this plane and in this world. We mere mortals simply express the energy of the 12 archetypes repeatedly Ad infinitum through our works, experiences, laws, or actions. What seems morally good, smart, sweet, erotic, evil, nice, or stupid changes from 1875 to 1982 to 2004. But the energies used to manifest those fundamental moral tent poles have always been the same.
When a planet in its orbit around the Sun, passes through a zodiacal sign, it imbues the energy of that sign, coupled with the energy of the planet, on the ‘stage’ of earth. So when Pluto is in Scorpio (Between November 1983 and November 1995) the themes of Pluto (karmic destiny, hidden realities) coupled with the themes of Scorpio (sex, death, secrets, rebirth) and gave us everything from AIDS, to the gender bending 1980s with its almost comic book expressions of male and female (Barbie and He Man were both created by Scorpios), to incredible wealth and wall street excess (Scorpio is the sign of personal finance in an investment way. Bill Gates is a Scorpio.) People born in this era will have intrinsic themes of gender and sexuality. This results in millenials being ferociously defensive of genders fluidity, to the tune of Pluto in Leo, or Boomers, scoff and mock. Still, it’s all just the 12 energies made manifest in mere mortals once again.
Each part of the body is even ruled by one of the 12 zodiacal energies:
Aries - Head
Taurus - Throat
Gemini - Lungs, shoulders, arms, and hands
Cancer - Chest and stomach
Leo - Upper back and spine
Virgo - Intestines and nerves
Libra - Lower back, buttocks, skin
Scorpio - Sexual reproduction and waste systems
Sagittarius - Lever, hips, upper legs
Capricorn - Skeleton and joints
Aquarius - Blood and lower legs
Pisces - Fat, lymph, and feet
The 12 energies were here before you and will go on after you die. Disabuse yourself of governmental, commerce-oriented, and pop-culture-created pseudo-versions of these twelve energies. Recognizing your themes and attributes in the web of their energetic expressions will give you an occult eye into the ancient understanding of the human experience.
