Prismatism: Planets
How to simply understand planets in Astrology
These 10 ‘planets’ (in astrology, the sun and moon are called planets) build an astrological chart. Above is a simple way to understand the role of each planet.
The Sun is identity and ego
The Moon is emotions and the interior self
Mercury is the mind and mental faculties
Mars is the masculine, inertiatic energy
Venus is the feminine, beauty worshiping self
Jupiter is the wisdom and philosophical self
Saturn is discipline and the working self
Uranus is the socially changing and revolutionary self
Pluto is the karmic, subconscious self
Now here is a cheat sheet for the qualities of the signs.
So with these two charts combined you can say, “I have sun in scorpio, so I am dark, private, perceptive, deep, and secretive” or “I have a moon in Taurus, so I’m calm, steady, and comfort seeking” and so on.

Of course, what is “you” exactly, when these forces have been there forever, but that’s for another post.
Always remember, laws in Rome, an empire that lasted 1,000 years, were written at Mons Saturnis, the mountain of Saturn. This became the basis for Capitoline Hill, ultimately Capitol Hill.
